We will steadily climb Mount Arbel from its southern, more moderate slopes, and reach its peak to discover the North of Israel spread at our feet - the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights and the Galilee mountains. We will then descend the mountain, passing through the ancient Arbel fortress and will conclude the hike at the fascinating Magdala archaeological site that was only recently discovered.

Highlights of the Hike:
Great panoramic views of the Sea of Galilee as we walk across the mountain top
Mount Arbel peak – The “Lonely Carob” lookout (The classic viewpoint of Lake Kinneret!!)
Hike down the steep cliff and see the Arbel fortifications carved inside the mountain, dated back to the 1st century BCE!
Magdala Archaeological Park. A fascinating archeological site that was only recently discovered!
What to Bring?
Required items (you will not be allowed to join the hike without these item, and will not receive a refund):
- 2 liters of water.
- Hiking shoes or sneakers (we highly recommend hiking shoes, but will also accept sneakers).
- Sandals are not allowed!
- Snacks and Lunch
- Trekking poles
- Dri-FIT shirt as a base layer
- On rainy days – a rain proof light coat.
